Ekeni is a tiger of few details… and fewer words. Not much is known about this young cub, who at 14 is already showing some impressive skills. With her face hidden behind her hair, it’s hard to tell just what is going on in her head. Always content to remain silent and in the background, Ekeni is always watching and studying. Mysterious and unreadable, Ekeni moves with a fluidity and speed that is impressive even amongst her own kind.

Ekeni’s weapon of choice are several small throwing stilettos made out of Zhirite – the element commonly found in the Tiger Territories that has properties that can disrupt Dragon Magicks, as well as weaken dragons themselves.

Recently, Ekeni was included as a member of the team sent with Aika to the southern border of the Tiger Territories to inspect the damage caused by the just-erupted volcano Mt. Aet’na. Her purpose there was simply for training, but she ended up getting more than she bargained for in the trip.

Danny Valentini modeled Ekeni after Noodle, from the music group Gorillaz.

Castheadercreatorsnotes-1-

Ekeni is a character that was another creation in service to the idea that “we need a bunch of Tigers to fill up this team”. Though her initial slate was a complete blank, once Danny gave her life in the visual sense the character began to take shape and form. In other words, Donnie loved her look so much he said “Cool!” and immediately began to fill her background up with related coolness. The only point of contention was the pronunciation of her name, which is now officially “eh-KEH-nee.”

Lord Rozen's Comments:

The quiet one of Aika's group. Through the few pages she has been seen, none of which were her talking.

Ekeni's name comes from the Hawaiian translation of 'Eden' meaning "delight"
